CSD Nano launches MoreSun Indiegogo campaign

August 14th, 2014

ONAMI Gap Fund Program company CSD Nano has launched a funding initiative that seeks beta sites to demonstrate the performance of its MoreSun anti-reflective coating for solar arrays. Company advisor John De Vos urges those interested in solar power to "check out the launch of our Indiegogo campaign for MoreSun - the world's first anti-reflective coating for direct application to solar panels already in the field."

De Vos continues:

Over 300 million solar panels in the world today do not have an anti-reflective coating. This results in a lot of lost energy! As many of you know, I have been doing "weekend warrior" consulting with a small start-up that spun out of Oregon State University to address this issue. The team finally came up with a breakthrough development of a very robust anti-reflective coating that can be applied with a hand held applicator. We are turning to crowd funding through Indiegogo to help scale up this technology and bring it to market.

Our MoreSun anti-reflective coating can create 3.2 gigawatts of new solar capacity, thus reducing CO2 emissions from fossil fuels by 3.6 million tons per year. It has the additional benefit of saving migrating waterfowl who frequently mistake large reflecting solar arrays for lakes.
